OVERVIEW

A report on the Zambian civil society and the effectiveness of the Poverty Reduction Strategies Paper (PRSP) in the country.

This study shows that the PRSP-process seems to have opened up an increased space for dialogue between civil society actors and representatives of the government of Zambia. The PRSP has strengthened the consensus among civil society actors and their impact in the PRSP process has been quite high. The study shows that the government was responsive to the interventions of the civil society.
