Urmimala Sarkar Munsi, the editor of Dance: Transcending Borders, is Visiting Faculty at the School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. A trained dancer and choreographer, she is also a social anthropologist specializing in Dance Studies.
