Stephanie McMillan has been a political cartoonist since 1992. Her daily comic strip "Minimum Security" is syndicated online by United Media, and she self-syndicates "Code Green," a weekly editorial cartoon about the environmental emergency. Her cartoons have appeared in hundreds publications worldwide, in print and online, including the Los Angeles Times, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Daily Beast, Yes! Magazine, and the San Francisco Bay Guardian.

She has two books: a comics collection, "Attitude Presents Minimum Security" (NBM, 2005) and a graphic novel with writer Derrick Jensen, "As the World Burns: 50 Simple Things You Can Do to Stay in Denial" (Seven Stories Press, 2007). Her work is also included in various anthologies and textbooks.

Her cartoons have been included in exhibits at the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art (New York), the San Francisco Comic Art Museum, the Andy Warhol Museum (Pittsburgh), the Nasher Museum at Duke University, and the Institute for Policy Studies (Washington, DC), among other venues.
